Mike and Renée cruise with CiCi
to the Mexican Riviera
December 2015

IIn all our years of cruising we had never been to the Mexican Riviera, so we choose to sail from San Francisco on the Grand Princess for our Christmas cruise in 2015. We were delighted to have Cousin Connie, nicknamed “CiCi,” come along. Thanks, CiCi, for many of these pictures.

We boarded Grand Princess at the new terminal in San Francisco, much better than the old barn of a building.

Soon we were underway, sailing out under the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Atrium of the ship was beautifully decorated for Christmas and there was a festive air aboard.
The first two days at sea gave us time for a lot of interesting activities. Playing Trivia is always one of our favorites.

Naturally the chef's cooking demonstration featured a holiday turkey.

We always enjoy dressing up for formal nights, even on this fairly casual cruise.
Puerto Vallarta was the first stop. This is the old church with the Christmas decorations.
Christmas morning we sailed into Manzanillo just as the full moon was setting.
CiCi went ashore and had her Christmas lunch with the volcano billowing in the background.
In Mazatlan Renée took in the aroma of the freshly baked bread. She always enjoys local markets.
The tour promised a visit to an adobe brick factory. Well, this was it! As promised ..
The three of us enjoyed the beautiful weather as we sailed into Cabo San Lucas.
After another relaxing day at sea, CiCi was up bright and early to capture our approach to San Francisco to end a wonderful cruise.
